Having had J Edison install our home theater system this past year, we can easily recommend them highly for several reasons. First, our system was installed on time and on budget. There were no surprises and no delays. If they said they would be at our house at a certain time on a certain date, they was there.
Second, the workmanship and attention to detail are superb. We saw this in model homes that were designed and installed by the J Edison Group, and the same high level of craftsmanship was used in our home.
Third, the follow up service is the best we have had from any firm providing any kind of service to our home. Importantly, a team member has promptly replied to any and all of our calls or emails. Service visits also were easily and promptly scheduled to fix any and all follow up issues we have had.
For instance, notwithstanding our install being completed and paid for months ago, we had a remote battery issue that we brought to their attention just this past Friday. They dealt with this already (today is Monday morning as I write this). A month or so ago, we had a video cable go bad. We called their office on Friday and the cable was replaced the same day by early Friday evening so our system would be available to us for the weekend for a kid’s sleepover. We plan on upgrading our system to add some capabilities, and we will use J Edison without hesitation.

First, their lead designer worked with us as we conceptualized our project. He listened to us explain what we wanted and was able to design a system that met all of our needs. It can be a stressful process, but he and his team are attune to the needs of their clients and do whatever it takes to ensure satisfied customers. Next, our project was a replacement of an existing system. The designer took inventory of what we had and didn’t simply recommend replacing all the components. We received quotes from other companies where they recommended replacing all televisions, DVD players, etc. The J Edison design team was honest and was mindful of the budget. They could have up-sold in many areas, but recognized that the equipment that we had was more than adequate to meet the needs of our family.
Finally, their designer and team were respectful of our schedules. Also, when we would get home from work, it was like they had never been there. They ensured the space they worked in was cleaned every day and furniture was returned to its place. We have two small children and the install team was diligent about ensuring there was nothing left out that would pose a danger for the kids. It was refreshing to work with a company that treated our family and home as if it were their own. At no time did we have to remind them that we were living in the home while they were completing the project.
Most importantly, our consultant and his team are responsive to any concerns we have after the project has been completed. We’ve called with issues and they are quick to resolve the problem. It’s clear that they respect their clients and they stand behind their work. There is no finger pointing or any attempts to deflect the issues. When the time comes to either expand our system or upgrade equipment, J Edison will be the first call we make.

I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the services your company provided. As you may recall, we contacted you in the spring to determine if it were possible to do some relocating of the existing system wiring in our townhome. Within 3-4 days of my contact, you were at our home providing both your opinion on how the work should be done and a time frame to complete the project. As you know we needed to leave town for personal reasons.
When we returned in July, we contacted you and stated we would like to have the work done. Your company responded promptly and efficiently, relocating the main level electronics in 2 working days. As you know, a woman is allowed the prerogative of changing her mind and that I did.
So in September, your staff returned to the residence to locate the bulk of the electronics in a cabinet that is now located in a closet on the lower level. With both service calls, your staff remained courteous maintaining a clean work environment at the end of each workday.
An unexpected bonus is that the staff configured the controller to allow me to operate my audio system from the main, saving me additional steps. For the past 7 years, I have not used the CD player as I would have liked, due to the inconvenience of traipsing up and down the steps numerous times to change the CD selections.
